Ms. Taylor's Class Guidlines
Students will be graded in the following three categories:
1. Homework will account for 10% of their total grade. Students have up to 5 days of the due date of the assignment to turn it in with a 1-point penalty per day.
2. Minor Assessments- Classwork, Labs, warm-ups, notebook checks, quizzes, exit/entrance tickets will account for 55% of a students total grade.
3. Major Assessments- All exams and Projects will account for 35% of a students total grade.
*Late work will only be accepted within 5 days of the due date with a 3-point penalty with the exception of homework.
*Make-Up work is accepted within 5 days of the due date with no penalty.
Major Unit tests:
1. Will always be announced in advance.
2. Retests will occur before or after school after a student shows evidence of how he/she has approached studying the second time. This evidence will require a parent signature and the date/time the student will retake the test. The first and second test grades will be averaged together.Quizzes: will usually be announced. They will be a review of recent class information or homework.
